Sales collateral

 

Sell sheets, flyers, brochures...that's the stuff people lump in the general category of "hand outs." Hand outs, while often throw-aways, can be powerful tools. They should carry the same messages as the rest of the company's ad materials but they should also be tailored to the situation in which they will be used. A big pocket folder with dozens of inserts is not going to be the best solution for a fast-moving trade show where booth visitors are looking for swag. Something unusual and instantly catchy is the order of the day. Other days, though, a deliberative and descriptive piece is a better choice. Knowing which day it is comes from experience--and its why you hire a writer who hasn't been sitting in an office all day without real-world experience!
