Writing for advertisements

 

From the hook to the sell, copywriting is the flaming knife juggling of the writing world. When done well, it looks amazing. Done poorly, it can be a painful disaster! I've written ad copy for a wide range of clients, from colleges and universities to banks to law enforcement tech companies to fine artists. No painful messes so far!

 

A good copywriter is not just stringing together words. In an agency setting, a copywriter often works with an art director to provide the concept and visuals. I am fortunate to be both a copywriter and a designer, with a ton of experience as a marketing and creative director. So, when I write copy I can provide the context and mechanics of the ad and campaign.
